Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding director Hideo Kojima has announced a formal release date for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which was officially announced during The Game Awards back in 2022. Fans fortunately won’t have too much longer to wait, plus the game will be accompanied with a substantial (if pricey) Collector’s Edition including a trove of extra goodies. A concert tour, beginning at the Sydney Opera House, has also been announced to celebrate the series’ soundtrack.
As confirmed from Kojima’s presentation as well as the official PlayStation Blog, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will release on the 26th of June 2025. There will be multiple versions of the game available for purchase, including Digital Standard Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition and the Collector’s Edition, and all versions of the game will be available for preorder from the 17th of March 2025. A sequel to Hideo Kojima’s 2019 bizarro masterpiece, Death Stranding, has been highly anticipated, with PC ports and Director’s Cut re-releases tiding over eager fans in the meantime. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be available for preorder from the 17th of March 2025, with the game releasing on the 26th of June 2025 on PS5.
