The Medium, the creepy psychological horror game that is set to be the first Xbox Series X/S console exclusive, has been delayed until January 28, 2021.
Bloober Team shared the news on Twitter today.
“It wasn’t an easy choice to make, but one made due to the COVID-19 situation in Poland, as well as the current schedule of other games on the market. Bloober Team remains committed to delivering our biggest, most ambitious, fear-inducing experience to date.” The full post is below.

The Medium was recently refused classification in Australia, and we’re still unsure why, so it’s questionable whether or not it would have hit its original release date of December 10 anyway.
Still, considering the Xbox Series X isn’t launching with the most compelling launch lineup, having a major exclusive release like this pushed back to next year is disappointing.
While the post mentions COVID as a reason for the delay, you can’t help but think that perhaps they have delayed The Medium to make way for another big release on December 10 in Cyberpunk 2077.
Regardless of the reason, we’ll be waiting until January 28, 2021 to get our hands on The Medium for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
