A sequel to the 2019 game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been announced during the Star Wars Celebration 2022 event that is being held in Anaheim, California. It will be the next chapter in Cal Kestis’ journey, kicking off sometime after the first game’s events, and is titled Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer that gave us a taste of what we can expect from the new game. It doesn’t go into a lot of detail, but it touches on a few curious things that, hopefully, will be explained when the game releases.
Although no gameplay was shown, we can presume it will follow the lead of its predecessor by offering a mix of exploration and lightsaber action. Fallen Order was one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2019, winning various awards for its gameplay and music, and smashed digital sales records for the series.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will release sometime in 2023 to PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox X|S. Other Star Wars games are reportedly in the works coming from other studios, namely Ubisoft and Quantic Dream, although it has been a while since we’ve heard about either of them.
