Last night, the biggest awards night in Aussie video games took place, with the winners announced for the Australian Game Developer Awards for 2021. The nominations included some absolute gems across a variety of categories, including some of our favourite games from this year so far.
Notably, Game of the Year was given to cozy game Unpacking, while the wacky adventure through the cosmos The Artful Escape received nods for both Excellence in Art and Excellence in Audio. The adorable spider-platformer Webbed took out Excellence in Gameplay, while Excellence in Narrative went to fantastic time-loop title The Forgotten City. Also shout out to our pal Monster Mansion and the team at Things for Humans for getting acknowledged with Excellence in Emerging Games with Video World.
