Everything shown at the 2023 Humble Games Showcase

Posted on May 19, 2023

In an absolutely cracking showcase, Humble Games shared a look into the games coming from the publisher. The team at Humble Games has a true dedication to excellence in the indie game space, believing that great games require freedom to grow into their true potential. Humble Games already has a stunning variety of games in their catalog such as Slay the Spire, Temtem, SIGNALIS, Unpacking, Ghost Song, and A Hat in Time, so to see that roster continue to expand is magnificent news for gamers. Humble’s Vice President of Global Publishing, Mark Nash, had this to say regarding the publisher’s drive to support smaller studios creativity.

“We’re incredibly excited for players to get their hands on our newly announced lineup as we continue to focus on supporting our development partners to bring their creative visions to life—and help them make their games the best they can be. 2022 was another very successful year for us, adding several more critically acclaimed and award-winning titles like SIGNALIS, Ghost Song and Prodeus to our growing portfolio. Our future lineup is proof of our continued investment in supporting our development partners to push the boundaries with their games.”

Humble Games’ 2023 showcase featured a deeper look into 6 games launching later this year and beyond! There was even a surprise drop of the console edition of Supraland: Six Inches Under on PlayStation and Xbox. Though the big head-turner of the showcase had to be Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical. Summerfall Studios, located in Melbourne, Australia has been hard at work, and with good reason. The game is slated to launch on August 3rd and it’s already having its praises sung in unison. Not only is it pushing interactive narrative to new heights but it has to be one of the most star-studded lineup of voice actors ever in game history.

Humble Games remains tight-lipped about the porting of Stray Gods but I really hope the gods look upon us with favor and grant us a Nintendo Switch edition at launch. It’s obvious why a publisher like Humble Games would see the value in Stray Gods, as it has so much potential to encapsulate both gamers and musical fans alike. Break a leg, Summerfall Studios!

Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical

Hot on the heels of a lyrical live event, Summerfall Studio’s narrative-driven interactive musical is turning its fair share of heads. With a stellar cast of vocal talent, this will be a treat for sure. I’m also very bias as this is an indie game made in Melbourne. Coming to PC August 3rd.

Supraland: Six Inches Under

A surprise nobody saw coming, Supraland: Six Inches Under is available now on consoles! The Metroidvania meets puzzle game follows up as a sequel to Supraland and promises more of that big adventure and intrigue from the first one. Out now on PC and console.
